Dr. Sarah Lawless

Dr Sarah Lawless is an AIMS@JCU Postdoctoral Research Fellow. As an environmental social scientist, Sarah is focused on leveraging social change within environmental governance. Specifically, she seeks to improve equity in the science and governance of fisheries, food systems, and marine and coastal environments. Much of her empirical research has been conducted in the Pacific Islands region and published in journals including Nature Climate Change, Global Environmental Change, World Development, Ambio and Earth System Governance. Sarah is also an expert consultant to a range of non-governmental organizations, research institutions and universities working on equitable social-ecological systems research, policy and practice.
