Congratulations to Dr Robert Streit on Prestigious Vienna Centre for Advanced Studies (ViCAS) Fellowship

The Governing Changing Oceans Group congratulates Dr Robert Streit on being awarded a fellowship at the Vienna Centre for Advanced Studies (ViCAS) at the University of Vienna, Austria (https://vicas.univie.ac.at/news/vicas-2026-fellows-announcement). During his fellowship at ViCAS, Robert will investigate how societies govern ocean-based climate action in contexts characterised by urgency, uncertainty, and accelerating environmental change. Building on his work as postdoctoral fellow in our group, he will examine the opportunities and challenges associated with developing effective, equitable, and adaptive approaches to ocean governance in response to the climate crisis. 

We congratulate Robert on this outstanding achievement and look forward to following the outcomes of his work in Vienna. We wish Robert every success during his fellowship.
