Lucy Holmes-McHugh
Lucy Holmes McHugh is a new SNAPP Postdoctoral Fellow. She is a political scientist, specialising in the governance of climate crisis and transitions. Her PhD research sought to understand how social systems navigate climate risk and crisis across scales with a focus on UNESCO’s World Heritage system and the Great Barrier Reef. During this time she was awarded a Fulbright scholarship at the University of Michigan where she collaborated on sustainability transitions research. Previously she worked at the Centre for International Forestry Research in Bogor, Indonesia in Science Communications. She has a Master’s in Development Practice and a Master’s in Public Policy.
